Attention: Ringette Alberta is cancelling all Ringette Alberta sanctioned events, including Provincial Championships, Regionals, Practices, Exhibition Games until further notice, effective 10:00 AM, March 13, 2020. At this time, this will include our RAB Challenge and RAB Cup events, and we will continue to monitor the situation as time and the information progresses.
We understand that this is a disappointing end to the season, but the health and safety of our members is of the utmost importance. Thank you to our Host Associations, volunteers and Ringette members for their hard work, dedication and time spent this season.
At this point in time, Ringette Canada has not yet delivered a national directive regarding RC sanctioned ringette activity. While they continue to discuss potential measures from the NSO perspective, they are advising PSOs that we follow the advice of our provincial governments and health care offices. We expect the Canadian Ringette Championships and the Western Canadian Ringette Championships will be making independent statements regarding their events.
